Casa Indiana Recognized With Multiple Green Building & Affordable Housing Awards
January 11, 2021ReVireo is excited to announce that Casa Indiana, an affordable and supportive housing community in Philadelphia, PA, has been selected as the winner of the Green Building United Groundbreaker 2020 Awards, as well as a recipient of both the COTE (Committee on the Environment) Architectural Excellence Award from AIA Pennsylvania, and an SHN (Senior Housing News) Award for Affordable Senior Housing.
ReVireo worked with HACE (the Hispanic Association of Contractors and Enterprises) CDC and CICADA Architecture/Planning to ensure Casa Indiana complied with Philadelphia Energy Code, ensuring it as a positive addition to the environment as well as the neighborhood. In addition to providing a needed service to local residents, Casa Indiana embodies sustainability, having achieved both ENERGY STAR and National Green Building Standard certifications. These awards recognize that it stands as a powerful example of community resilience and demonstration of symbiosis between humans and nature.
